Lets take a look to this remarkable prophecy from the Book of Enoch, which is considered canonic and inspired by many Christians at the present time.
We have to remember that this book was quoted several times in the orthodox scriptures, being the most remarkable the word by word citation of Jude, the brother of Jesus. (Jude 14)
Please read this article with an open mind.
We have used the date of Adam's birth as a reference and the date of Noah’s birth as a reference as well (AA=After Adam; AN= After Noah, BN=Before Noah). We know from scripture that God counts time from Noah and on in thousands of years. (Ps 90:4; 1 Pe 3:8) God works for six days of a thousand years each and rests for a 1000 year Sabbath. The last Sabbath ended at Noah’s birth and a new creation week started. Jesus’ millennial kingdom is the last working day of Gods week.
However, Gods week is not man’s week. A man’s day is counted in 100 years lengths, which is the duration of a man’s life, according to Isaiah 65:20. So Enoch’s weeks are seven periods of 100 years, and 10 weeks cover a period of 7000 years. Those 7000 years are the foretold seven thousand years of mankind, before evil is finally defeated and annihilated.

XCIII, XCI.12-17. The Apocalypse of Weeks.

And after that Enoch both gave and began to recount from the books. And Enoch said:
'Concerning the children of righteousness and concerning the elect of the world,
And concerning the plant of uprightness, I will speak these things,
Yea, I Enoch will declare (them) unto you, my sons:
According to that which appeared to me in the heavenly vision,
And which I have known through the word of the holy angels,
And have learnt from the heavenly tablets.'

It is self explanatory, he got this from angels and from heavenly tablets, the same way Moses got the law. (Ex. 12:12; Gal 3:19) At the time it was already in “the books”. All this is in regard to the Elect of the world, or Yahshua the Anointed one (The Christ), and the plant of uprightness, or Abraham. The children of righteousness are the saints.  (John 1:29; Ro. 8: 12-23)

FIRST WEEK 1-700 AA , 4026-3326 BC, 1056-356 BN

And Enoch began to recount from the books and said:
'I was born the seventh in the first week,
While judgement and righteousness still endured.

Enoch was born in 622 After Adam (AA). This means the weeks may start with Adams birth. 622 AA is the seventh 100 year long day and therefore a week should be assumed to last 700 years or seven days. And of course Enoch was the seventh from Adam.
Again, 7 days of 100 years each equals 700 years for a week. Therefore 10 weeks mean 7000 years after Adam, which is the period that this prophecy covers.

The fact that judgment and rigthousness still endured, is also proof that at least the first week, during God's Sabbath, people lived peacefully. This must be before the sons of God decided to procreate a hybrid race with the daughters of men. As a matter of fact, the bible says that at the time of Enos people started to invoque the name of Jehovah, and that Cain and Abel were engaged in the worship of Jehovah.

So It is likely so that Adam  and his offspring were also preachers of justice.

Did this peaceful period last all the Sabbath?

The fact that Enoch preached against the wicked ones, is not proof that this happened. More likely during God's Sabbath people lived a peaceful life.

It was jus after Enoch's transfer, that the wicked ones appeared.

Enoch was transfered on 69 BN, or 69 years before the Sabbath came to an end.

This is more clear if we keep reading what he says for the second week. 



SECOND WEEK 700-1400 AA, 3326-2626 BC, 356BN-345 AN

And after me there shall arise in the second week great wickedness,
And deceit shall have sprung up;
And in it there shall be the first end.

Enoch was lifted (did not die) when he was 365 y/o, already during the second week (985 AA; 69 BN) . After him, wickedness abounded on earth.
The first end refers to the end of the creation week of seven thousand years, this is at the end of the one thousand year Sabbath that started after Eve was created, 1000 years before Noah. So the first end is at 1056 AA, at Noah’s birth. By that time wickedness had already begun as it derives from Lamec's prophecy at Noah's birth. (Gen 5:28,29)

And in it a man shall be saved;
And after it is ended unrighteousness shall grow up,
And a law shall be made for the sinners.

The man saved during the second week should be Noah. Who was declared just by God, and therefore saved during the second week. Noah was given a law for the sinners, that is, that they should be executed by God. After the Sabbath ended (1056 AA) unrighteousness grew as the Scriptures testify.

The fact that a law was given to Noah is evident when God tells him to enter clean and unclean animals in the Arc. It is also evident that there was a priesthood, since Mechisedeck was King and Priest at Abraham's time. Tradition tells that Shem was possibly this man. In other words, God's law was necessary after the Sabbath came to an end and was given to Noah. This law was preached by Noah. (Heb 11:7; 2 Pe 2:5) Apparently the revelation of this law did not end with the flood. (Gen 8:20-22; 26:4,5)

 

THIRD WEEK 1400-2100 AA, 2626-1926BC, 345-1045 AN

And after that in the third week at its close
A man shall be elected as the plant of righteous judgement,
And his posterity shall become the plant of righteousness for evermore.

Surprisingly, the flood is overlooked by Enoch’s prophecy and goes directly to the closing of the week, when Abraham, “the plant of righteous judgement was born (2008 AA) and elected 2083 AA, by the end of the week. As the prophet foretells, Abraham was elected just at the close of the third week.
The flood actually happened at 1656 AA at the third day of the third prophetic week.

His prosterity is Jesus who is the "plant or righteousness for evermore"

FOURTH WEEK 2100-2800 AA, 1926-1226 BC, 1045-1745 AN

And after that in the fourth week, at its close,
Visions of the holy and righteous shall be seen,
And a law for all generations and an enclosure shall be made for them.

This is a direct allusion to the Mosaic Law that was given to Moses approximately at 2513 AA. Noah's law was given for the sinners, while Moses law was given for all generations. It also alludes to the visions of the Israelites in the desert. How God revealed himself to them and showed them His power. The enclosure seem to call for the covenant between Israel and God, or it might refer only to the eternaly in force principles of the law. The principles in the Torah are eternal and its prophecy cannot go unfulfilled. (Mat 5:18) ( more detail in the spanish article: expresiones inspiradas)

FIFTH WEEK 2800-3500 AA, 1226-526 BC, 1745-2445 AN

And after that in the fifth week, at its close,
The house of glory and dominion shall be built for ever.

The first temple was built at the beginning of the fifth week (2999 AA) and the second temple was built at the end of the week (3489 AA) at the closing.

God's Temple is an eternal house, it will be rebuilt because it has been established forever. In the next week we will see that was ment to be burned, however shall be built forever implies a reconstruction.

SIXTH WEEK 3500-4200AA, 526BC -175 AC, 2445-3145 AN

And after that in the sixth week all who live in it shall be blinded,
And the hearts of all of them shall godlessly forsake wisdom.

The people of Israel lost their faith in God, the purity of god worship was lost during this time. Those who lived in the house of glory “were blinded.”

And in it a man shall ascend;
And at its close the house of dominion shall be burnt with fire,
And the whole race of the chosen root shall be dispersed.

This is Jesus of Nazareth , he was born in 4025 AA and baptized in 4055.
At the end of the week 70 AC or 4096 AA The House of Glory was destroyed and the jews ( the chosen root) were dispersed.
The whole race refers to the fact that the non-jewish israelites (10 tribes) had already been dispersed, but in this week they were dispersed in its entirety.

SEVENTH WEEK 4200-4900 ,175 AC- 875 AC, 3145-3845 AN

And after that in the seventh week shall an apostate generation arise,
And many shall be its deeds,
And all its deeds shall be apostate.

The purity of Christianity was lost after the second century and an apostate Pseudo-christian religion arose. The gnostics, and greek religions and philosophy persuaded many christians to leave the fundamental and traditional interpretation of the gospel, to create elaborate doctrines with no biblical and logical base. However we note that this prophecy talks about the deeds. So, the actions of the so  called christians were apostate in nature. True chistianity became hard to find.

And at its close shall be elected
The elect righteous of the eternal plant of righteousness,
To receive sevenfold instruction concerning all His creation.

[For who is there of all the children of men that is able to hear the voice of the Holy One without being troubled? And who can think His thoughts? and who is there that can behold all the works

of heaven? And how should there be one who could behold the heaven, and who is there that could understand the things of heaven and see a soul or a spirit and could tell thereof, or ascend and see

all their ends and think them or do like them? And who is there of all men that could know what is the breadth and the length of the earth, and to whom has been shown the measure of all of them?

Or is there any one who could discern the length of the heaven and how great is its height, and upon what it is founded, and how great is the number of the stars, and where all the luminaries rest?]

This is a very important event that took place during the last part of the seventh week. However, the prophet showes by the words he used, that the fulfillment of this prophecy is a heavenly one. No one among the children of men is able to understand and see what is going on in the heavens.
The “righteous of the eternal plant of righteousness, (which is Jesus, the offspring of Abraham), receives sevenfold instruction concerning all His creation.
However no one from the children of men is aware of this, because is happening in heaven. Jesus gave testimony that he did not know the day and hour. Perhaps there are other instructions left to be given to him. This may have happened during the last day of the week, this is 774 AC to 974 AC, and is a heavenly fulfillment.
However one could think that Mohammed is being foretold here, because he appears on 600 (apx) and died on 632. It is not Mohammed, because he died in 632 AC, (the fifth day of the week) and his deeds and book do not qualify him as the elect righteous. Certainly the fifth day is not the closing of the week. In all other parts the closing of the week is refered to the last years of the seventh day.

Moreover the prophecy calls for a period of ignorance, the dark age.

XCI.12-17. The Last Three Weeks.
EIGHTH WEEK (4900-5600 AA, 875-1575 AC, 3845-4545 AN)

And after that there shall be another, the eighth week, that of righteousness,
And a sword shall be given to it that a righteous judgement may be executed on the oppressors,
And sinners shall be delivered into the hands of the righteous.

And at its close they shall acquire houses through their righteousness,
And a house shall be built for the Great King in glory for evermore,

And all mankind shall look to the path of uprightness.

Christianity during this day experimented great changes and increased power and gained great influence all over the world.

Perhaps, the instruction given to Jesus in heaven marked changes among christians and the nations.
A sword was given to Christians, who, in the name of Jesus fought against the muslims "the oppressors") in the crusades. We count nine crusades to the middle east starting at 1095 to 1271, and after that the Northern crusades and in 1492 the discovery of America, which was a greater crusade of Christianity, that greatly empowered the Great King, who is Jesus.
Although the method of spreading Christianity is far from being christian, was certainly allowed by God, so that the name of Jesus would be made known everywhere in the planet. Jesus said he did not come to bring peace but sword. Those words were greatly fulfilled during this period of expansion. Also, Jesus foretold that their disciples would be allowed to take the sword, when he commanded them to take it on his last hour. However, after he had allowed Peter to cause damage to Malco, one of the opossers, he said "enough!" and cured the wounded enemy. By this actions he foretold that christians would be allowed to fight with wepons and hurt the opossers of christianity to a certain point. However, in the same way Malco was healed, all enemies of Christ will have the opportunity to be healed and forgiven.
At the close of this era, we see the beginning of the enlightment among Christians, in the names of The Cathars, Waldensians, John Hus, Jerome of Prague, John Wicklef, William Tyndale and in 1517 with the ignition of the protestant reform by Martin Luther. All this events greatly established the house of the Great King, which will last for ever. "Mankind looked to the path of uprightness", The bible was "re-discoverd" and started to be looked upon as the source of enlightment. America was conquered by christian nations, and a big house was aquired by them. "Their rigthousness" seems to alude to the christian religion, not the quality of being good by this people.
It does not say that mankind would be in uprightness at that time, but that shall look to that path. That, they did.

THE NINETH WEEK 5600-630 AA, 1575-2275 AC, 4545-5245 AN)

And after that, in the ninth week, the righteous judgement shall be revealed to the whole world,

And all the works of the godless shall vanish from all the earth,
c
And the world shall be written down for destruction.

Yes, we are back in tune with history and Bible prophecy! We are living during the nineth week!
It is during this period of time that the judgment shall be revealed. This is a direct allusion to the second coming of Jesus and his judgment; the Millennial Kingdom, which is the restoration of all things. The revelation of the Son of God!

During this time also the world is judged and written down for destruction. Those disapproved will be destroyed.
The whole world, of course means the living and the death, because it is during this time when the resurrection takes place.
At the present time we are in the sixth day of this ninth week! A lot has to still happen!

What should we expect for the near future? That "the works of the godless vanish from earth"! and that "the world shall be written down for destruction", and of course this is a consequence of the Revelation of Christ when the "rigtheous judgement is revealed".
The new earth is created.

TENTH WEEK, 6300-7000 AA, 2275-2975 AC, 5245-5945 AN

And after this, in the tenth week in the seventh part,
There shall be the great eternal judgement,
In which He will execute vengeance amongst the angels.

And the first heaven shall depart and pass away,
And a new heaven shall appear,
And all the powers of the heavens shall give sevenfold light.
17
And after that there will be many weeks without number for ever,
And all shall be in goodness and righteousness,
And sin shall no more be mentioned for ever.

At the end of the Millenial Kingdom in the seventh part of the tenth week, Satan and his angels are executed for eternity and new heavens are created, where there is no more place for wickedness, for ever, exactly as the Bible says. The new heaven's are established.

CONCLUSION

History is the confirmation of prophecy. The fact that Enoch was a true prophet has never been doubted. However, his recorded prophecies in the Book of Enoch have been rejected or even banned by Christian  and jewish scholars. Not so Jude, the brother of Jesus, who cited from this book
By examining history and comparing it with Enoch’s account, we can see that his vision was truthful and inspired.
However, ¿are all parts of the existing Book of Enoch inspired? This is the question.
